Free. Claiming lets you correct the list, set happy hours, and see what people within a mile are actually searching for. It needs a verified Confrmo business name, because the listing is only ever handed to the organisation that runs the place.

Nobody else can take it. Verify that you run Horse and Jockey and it is yours - a Confrmo Name is a checked identity, so an address ending confrmo.com is proof the business behind it was verified, not just that somebody bought a domain.
We do not hand over control on the strength of a web form. A venue is claimed by the business that runs it, and that business has to be verified on Confrmo first, so the question of who you are is answered before you get here.
What is left is whether you hold that Confrmo name, and a person checks that before the listing moves. Until then it carries on exactly as it is. Every decision is recorded and can be undone.
